in Sayward, B.C.
Nielsen’s Gardens Bed and Breakfast is located just off Highway 19
North on Vancouver Island, just before you reach The Village of
Sayward, B.C. and, The Port of Kelsey Bay in British Columbia, Canada.
Our Sayward accommodations include 2 separate bedrooms, with a shared bath, in the main house and a private self- contained 1 bedroom cottage. Please see
'Guest Rooms' page for more details.
We will be open during the winter season for all travelers and skiers going to Mt. Cain.
We are a quiet country retreat. Our gardens are filled with many species of
rhododendrons, maples, magnolias and lush perennials. We have heritage
roses and a large orchard that includes a variety of apple, pear, plum and peach trees.
Our cottage garden supplies our home with fresh vegetables for many months of
the year. Our berry patches of strawberries, blue berries and raspberries will
find their way to your Breakfast feast. We also have a small market garden
and open our gardens yearly for the annual Sayward Garden Tour.
Our guest cottage is private with views into the gardens and Mount H’Kusam.
Our guest rooms, in the main house, are well appointed with luxurious down
bedding and they too have a view of the garden.
Your stay can be filled with
- a day hiking on the Kusam Klimb, a yearly endurance event takes place there
- whale watching on the dock
- canoeing down the Salmon River
- fishing in Johnstone Strait
- skiing Mount Cain
- or just relaxing in the garden.
Time with us will be enjoyed and remembered as a special holiday.
